If I see a man robbing a bank, I’m not gonna stop him.

If some driver is speeding on the highway, I’m not gonna chase him and tell him to slow down.

If a young man violates his parole, I won’t sanction him.

Why not? I know the law…but why won’t I get involved in any of those affairs? Because I’m not a judge. I’m no law enforcer. I know the law that I may obey the law, not enforce it or be a judge concerning it.

Jesus Christ is appointed to do all the judging and enforcing. I need to focus on my own cases.

“There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you – who are you to judge your neighbor?” (James 4:12)
